    Tone: Positive

Shannon found check-in easy and enjoyed racing with friends. Bright sun affected swim sighting; merging riders crowded the older bike route, and the run had hills. She finished pleased. This inaugural sprint used a longer swim and much shorter bike than today; its route difficulty is historical.
