    Grammi describes wind making the swim daunting, the return bike leg slow and the bridge run feel like a wind tunnel. Even transitions were difficult in gusts. They praise rescue crews and enthusiastic marshals while recalling a hard but rewarding event.

    Grammi enjoyed swimming and running on the monumental canal bridge and found the bike varied. A changing canal level forced an improvised exit, while shifting weather, waves and repeated returns to swimming made the nine-part test challenging and exciting.
