    Uwe Drescher · 2018

Drescher praises friendly volunteers and a relaxed, village-festival atmosphere. He describes a hilly bike course through the Haßberge and a hot, four-lap run with a substantial climb each lap. After riding too hard, he struggled but finished with encouragement.

    Source context and limitations

First-person 2018 report by DSW Darmstadt athlete Uwe Drescher. This historical middle-distance race is event context for Hofheim in Unterfranken; it does not describe the current Sprint or Olympic courses. The approximate bike total follows the narrative, not a measured course record.
