Paul Gazut · 2023
Gazut describes a technical bike course that became slippery in rain, with crowded riding and difficult bridge access. Despite two falls, he enjoyed racing with his friends and wanted to return.
Source context and limitations
Direct 2023 relay cyclist interview. Gazut was also an intern at the publishing newspaper, La Dépêche, an affiliation disclosed by the article. His comments concern the Sprint relay bike leg, not an individual triathlon or the later GorillaMan long race. Complete distances are unstated.

Solène Tan · 2023
Tan enjoyed winning in her home town but found the race long and the bike especially slippery when rain returned. She distinguishes the wet bike difficulty from the rest of her race.
Source context and limitations
Direct 2023 athlete interview in La Dépêche. Tan identifies her longstanding Triathlon Club Montalbanais affiliation. This university-championship account has no complete distance specification and remains event context; it does not describe the 2026 GorillaMan long format.
