Alabama Coastal 2012: fast racing with swim-seeding frustration ↗
Ginger Spansel (Living The Tri Life) · 2012
Ginger enjoyed the short, hard effort and was pleased with her bike and run. She found the swim queue frustrating, thought the swim longer than advertised and felt the awards took too long. Staying beside transition made the morning convenient.
Source context and limitations
Historical 2012 Tri-It-On participant account: advertised 300-yard swim, ten-mile bike and two-mile run. The author explicitly promoted Timex Factory Team, ICEdot and Wicked Fast sponsorships and finished second woman. These are historical shorter-course impressions; measured distances, current logistics and general safety are not established.
