Fontana 2019: a first-time sprint triathlete’s report ↗
mytrithrowaway · 2019
The writer enjoyed the organization and encouraging fellow athletes. They found the lake calm that day, the bike and run hilly, and intersection volunteers helpful, although their first open-water race was personally challenging.
Source context and limitations
A complete September 21, 2019 sprint account in Fontana, Wisconsin. It describes the historical course and operations, not guaranteed current conditions. The writer reported a 19 km bike leg; the current listing says 12 miles. A later discussion reports a change of company/director in 2025, so the 2019 organization assessment should not be transferred to the current team.
