  The athlete thoroughly enjoyed the scenic coastal bike and run, praised the organization and encouraging volunteers, and set a personal best. The cold ocean swim was difficult, with physical contact and a long run from the beach to transition.

  Source context and limitations

  August 11, 2019 sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike and 5 km run. Fog delayed that edition. Historical conditions and arrangements may differ. This August Tri Santa Cruz is separate from the September Santa Cruz Triathlon.
