First-time triathlete Tica Boeckmann found the hills tougher than expected but enjoyed the race, its supportive people and a smoother-than-expected swim. Nathan Belardo and Adrienne Belliveau praised the organization and encouragement despite demanding climbs. Repeat entrant Laura Naught valued the small, beginner-friendly atmosphere. The interviewed athletes wanted to return.
