Reports and event feedback

  • A historical run over the northern park hills ↗

    David Bush

During a historical run led by Erik Burciaga, David Bush described two steep initial ascents around Pearsall Park’s northern hills.

    Source context and limitations

Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Historical outside-race running context, based on an inferred match of the northern dirt-and-hill network shown in both maps. Bush ran with Erik Burciaga, identified in the article as an organizer of other Dragon races. The registration’s linked Dragon Trails 10K map was created in 2021 and shows the Old Pearsall Road parking area and northern hill network. Bush’s two steep early ascents describe his own outing; the particular race climbs are unverified. His longer 9K outing is not established as that 6.25-mile mapped route. Visit date, exact shared branches, direction and present race geometry remain unknown. The registration has a 2026 heading but retains July 2021 instructions, so the old linked map is not confirmed as the final current course. No ultra finish, current conditions, maintenance, facilities, services or safety assessment is claimed. His separate 2016 Dragon’s Den race praise and the broken second route image are excluded.
