Mike Combs (race director), interviewed by Tom Westman · 2022

Mike was pleased with the inaugural turnout and felt it showed local demand for longer-distance races. He also relayed positive runner feedback, which the article does not independently document.

    Source context and limitations

Perspective: race official; this is not a finisher review. A race director’s retrospective in a May 2023 local newspaper guide about the 2022 event. This is an organizer’s perspective, with selection bias. Unnamed runner praise is secondhand; it does not establish a participant review or a specific ultra-distance experience.
