    Tony Rose

Rose described intense heat and humidity followed by a downpour and a race that ended early after weather delays. He appreciated the running community’s encouragement while reaching his first trail-ultra distance.

    Source context and limitations

A complete participant account published June 28, 2025, naming Etown Trail Classic in Elizabethtown and tagged at Hardin County Fair Grounds. The raced edition and entry class are not explicitly stated. Rose reports 31 miles (49.9 km), short of his 33-mile (53.1 km) goal after the race ended early. The current registration uses Nature Park, so this is historical event experience rather than a description of today’s route, climate or safety. His thanks to a running-store team do not establish payment or organizer quality.
