    Casey Hammond · 2022

Casey Hammond recalled pausing the race during lightning and heavy rain, sheltering runners in the family home, and enjoying the shared conversations and encouragement through a demanding weekend of directing.

    Source context and limitations

Perspective: race official; this is not a finisher review. This is a 2022 race-director retrospective published by the organizer and supplement business. It describes onsite operations and the director’s experience, not an athlete’s run. The inaugural format and weather are historical, and the publisher has a promotional interest.
