Matthew Cooper, founder of the Slurpee running challenge · 2022

Cooper valued his friends’ help during the outing. Although the repeated frozen drinks had lost their appeal, he was already thinking about a bigger challenge the following year.

    Source context and limitations

Perspective: event staff; this affiliated account is not an independent participant review. The founder’s complete personal account of his solo July 11, 2022 outing, published the following day. The current listing describes an informal group challenge rather than a formal race. This is historical origin context, not a 2026 group finish or evidence of the present route, distance or services. The post mentions a brand shoutout, which does not establish payment. No first public group year or numerical rating is claimed.
