    Stephen Winton · 2026

Stephen Winton found the persistent headwind demanding, enjoyed running and talking with fellow athletes, and used a mix of running and brisk hiking to finish. He reported no sports drink at the first aid stop and wished he had taken food there.

    Source context and limitations

This is one runner’s October 17, 2026 50K experience. The wind, aid supplies and his return from a foot injury are specific to that day; his account is not a guarantee of future conditions or support.
