A historical personal-visit account of Kate Furbish Preserve East, used only as inferred trail-network context for the proposed race. The registration explicitly names this East preserve and Buttermilk Mountain single and double track. Goldfine personally found the interwoven bicycle paths and footpaths confusing, but her exact assessed branches are not established as the race route. The race’s 4.17-mile lap is not matched to her 3.5-mile perimeter walk or any particular cove, trailhead or interior path. Her visit date, shared length, direction and present geometry remain unknown; the article’s 2020 publication and 2026 update are not visit dates.
