    Jenny Johns · 2023

Jenny found a welcoming community while photographing the race and particularly liked the handmade quilt showing the course. She described kind runners thanking her and a well-equipped gathering area.

    Source context and limitations

Perspective: race volunteer; this is not a finisher review. A volunteer photographer’s October 2023 account, covering one trail section and leaving before the finish. She knew an organizer and received help and merchandise in return for donated photography. This is historical volunteer experience, not a runner’s assessment or a review of the current organization.
