What racers and reviewers say
- Slowtwitch: Lake George 70.3 aka Big GeorgeRaced 2018 · forum · Positive
Raced in 2018 and planned to return. Bike is one early climb then rollers back down to the lake, roads fine apart from a couple of areas, and traffic never felt unsafe. Run was harder than expected, perhaps from overcooking the bike. Praised the vibe and a very competent race director; small field with roomy transition.
“The vibe was awesome”
- Slowtwitch: Lake George 70.3 aka Big GeorgeRaced 2019 · forum · Mixed
Calls the bike challenging and pretty lonely, with a few places on a bike path where passing and oncoming riders could collide. Run is also lonely though shaded for much of the way, and it is possible to get lost. Likes the finish: a descent, then about 0.8 km (0.5 mi) cruising in.
