Laurent V (displayed name) · 2015
Laurent gives a brief positive account of an exceptionally atmospheric misty-lake start and a very well-organized event. He says he completed the three stated legs in about six hours.
Source context and limitations
Brief firsthand 2015 finishing assessment at the beginning of a longer pre-race literary reflection. The genuine assessment is retained separately from that imagined narrative. This historical XL used 1.9 / 90 / 21 km; it does not establish the current course or conditions.

Baboon (displayed name) · 2016
Baboon describes two main climbs and many village speed humps on each bike circuit, followed by a mostly wooded three-lap run. He praises volunteers and well-marked, protected routes, but found bike aid limited to small water bottles with no solid food.
Source context and limitations
First-person 2016 historical XL report. The rider reports about 97 km of cycling, so this account remains event context rather than being assigned the current half-distance specification. Personal preparation and equipment difficulties are not presented as faults of the event.
