    France Villemain · 2012

Villemain enjoyed the ocean swim despite glare that made buoy sighting difficult. She describes a long transition through town to the gymnasium and valued encouragement throughout the hilly bike and multi-lap run, finishing elated.

    Source context and limitations

First-person 2012 Ironbask full-distance account published by Rodez Triathlon 12, her club. Historical format within the Saint-Jean-de-Luz festival; swim length is not stated. The current federation explicitly lists IronBask XXL within that family, but the account does not review its modern L or shorter races.
