Mathieu · 2022
Mathieu says the hot race began with a good swim, but the hilly bike became difficult after he underfueled. He struggled through the remaining bike and run and concluded that longer training and better effort and nutrition management were needed for L racing.
Source context and limitations
First-person 2022 L championship account published by Montélimar Triathlon, his club. The historical 3 km swim and 79 km bike are retained as event context rather than standard half-distance legs. Current Haut Languedoc federation history explicitly includes the 14 July 2022 La Salvetat championship edition.
