    GD · 2026

    Marathon

GD felt the climbing and warm conditions made the marathon much harder than its fast-course promotion suggested. They were disappointed with early drink provision and wished they had examined the route more closely. Casino smoke and post-race room access also detracted from the stay.

GD's 2026 full-marathon review on FindMyMarathon. The four reviews on the page mix full, half and unscoped accounts; no four-full-runner rating claim is made. Course, heat and value assessments are personal opinions. Medical anecdotes and secondhand claims about late aid are omitted.

    Linda Banks · 2026

    Ultra

Linda valued the scenic, accessible recreation path and unusually personal support from the race director and volunteers. Heat, wet shoes and painful feet made her 50-mile goal difficult, but she appreciated the encouragement and food.

A June 2026 account from the inaugural women’s Stowe 24-hour event. Linda reports 50 miles within the timed event, not a 100-mile finish or a separate 50-mile race. She describes changes to the nighttime route and personal support specific to that edition.

    Andrew K · 2018

    Marathon

A June 2018 finisher enjoyed the tunnel, trestles and gentle descent, and praised communication, drop bags and buses. Long straight sections felt lonely, and gravel plus downhill running became hard on his legs late in the marathon.

Reported format: marathon. Published on running-coaching business TeamRunRun; one athlete perspective.

    Shannon Payne · 2021

    Marathon

A June 2021 finisher enjoyed the scenic gentle descent and plentiful aid. She found packet pickup and travel logistics inconvenient, waited around 30 minutes for a toilet and wished instructions were clearer; volunteers were helpful.

Reported format: marathon. Published on running-coaching business TeamRunRun; one athlete perspective.
