Missy (Anderson) Roberts, quoted in the organizer’s history · 2006

Event context · see format details

Roberts recalls directing and racing the same year as enjoyable but hectic. She valued the volunteers while timing was still done by hand, and says an error entering her own swim time delayed discovering her podium result.

Perspective: event staff; this affiliated account is not an independent participant review. Affiliated retrospective about 2006 from the former director and racer. Her race distance is unstated; this is event-staff context, not an independent athlete rating or current timing assessment. The exact current registration explicitly cancels 2026 because school construction prevented permits. No replacement date is verified.

During a historical visit, Luanne admired the brick fort’s architecture.

Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. The exact current race primary and its Key Locations page name Fort Morgan State Historic Site as the proposed finish, but the main listing explicitly says the race is only being explored and that course and details may change. This is a proposed-landmark setting connection, not a confirmed race course, held edition, race participation, present-day view, or assessment of interiors, tours, amenities, safety or event services.
