Jamie / Trihardist · 2008

Event context · see format details

Jamie enjoyed a strong bike effort despite headwinds and was delighted with her result. The exceptionally hilly run was the hardest part. The thirty-second seeded pool-start intervals stretched the field out, preventing her from watching athletes she coached.

Historical April 2008 Emporia Spring Migration: 400m swim, 12.4-mile bike and 3.1-mile run. Exact-distance historical context; the current catalog was imported with an unspecified triathlon format. Jamie is a coach and raced alongside athletes she coached; no organizer role is stated. The organizer canceled the 2026 edition after road construction blocked the bike route. No current course or operating-status inference is made.

Mike Alberts (Feet First Athletics) · 2021

Ultra

Mike praised the scenery, varied aid food, race directors and finish buckle. Heat made his run harder than expected, and he once needed another runner’s spare water between stops. Despite a difficult final stretch, he described the event as memorable and fun.

One self-published account of the December 2021 100K. Heat, mosquitoes, aid arrangements and course observations concern that edition; they do not establish current conditions or safety. His water difficulty describes his own experience and carrying needs, not an independently established aid failure. The organizer has postponed the 2026 race until 2027, with a replacement date unannounced. Auto-generated captions may contain errors. No personal placing, finish time or numerical rating was independently verified.

Rainer Wiechmann · 2010

Obstacle

Wiechmann finishes the two-lap 18 km Airport Weeze course and describes an enjoyable, demanding adventure through cold water, mud and obstacles, including a net between bunkers. He hopes to return the following year.

Complete opening original first-person account, posted 20 April 2010; its event header and narrative say Sunday 18 April, conflicting with the present organizer archive’s 17 April. The exact day remains unresolved. The author’s 2011 return wish is not evidence of another Weeze edition. The eight-comment thread and all 25 images were not reviewed as separate sources. No finish time or overall score.

Obstacle

The writer enjoys the snowy setting, supplied snow goggles, refreshments and village facilities. Parking and signage are confusing, luggage storage is limited, and the obstacles feel technically simple. They enjoy combining the trip with Valmorel but would not travel so far for this run alone.

The Villars section explicitly identifies 27 January 2018, describing a gondola to Roc d’Orsay, approximately 6 km downhill and two nominal 4.5 km village laps. These are personal historical estimates, distinct from the older 14 km tourism programme and any future course. Claimed placing, timing and observations of other people’s injuries are not verified or adopted as a safety finding. The same containing URL also describes Valmorel; it is one author and one URL globally, not independent athlete evidence per event. The hosting site publishes commercial OCR coaching/training and retail links; this does not establish the contributor’s independence or entry arrangements. Complete relevant original authored text read. Actual identity, attendance, finish, obstacle completion, distances and measurements are not independently audited. Entry funding is unknown unless stated; no overall numerical satisfaction score is supplied or inferred. Photographs, videos, audio and the complete comment archive were not reviewed or reused.
