Mandi Florip (Chicago Athlete) · 2025

Florip enjoyed the lighthouse, lakefront scenery and clear course markings, and said staggered starts gave runners room. Mid-race hills and increasing humidity made the later miles difficult. She finished with a positive impression and wanted to return.

    Source context and limitations

A full-marathon report from 2025 by a Chicago Athlete writer, coach and podcast host. The article also promotes the destination and a future edition; payment or gifted-entry status is not stated. Current routes were still being finalized when checked, so her course and weather observations remain edition-specific.
