The runner valued the companionship of a small group and seeing family on the out-and-back sections. Hills near the lap turn and finish became hard late in the race. After abandoning a conservative pacing plan, they needed repeated walking breaks but were pleased with a large personal improvement.

    Source context and limitations

A 2024 full-marathon report from u/SpeedyWindot3. An overly ambitious pace and late cramps shaped the experience. The personal improvement does not establish comparative course speed or guarantee Boston entry, and personal remedies mentioned in the original are not advice.
