Sammy was disappointed by a course change they felt had been poorly communicated. Long stretches beside Oracle Road, traffic encounters and sparse support made the marathon feel poor value, despite one particularly encouraging volunteer.

A 2026 full-marathon review by Sammy on FindMyMarathon. Traffic and communication concerns are the runner's reported experience, not an independent safety finding. The official 2027 page now describes the Biosphere Road route; the earlier advertisement quoted in the review is historical.
