Bernie (The Global Adventurer) · 2019

Bernie enjoyed the race and found plenty of water and some fruit at aid stations. Parts of the early course were very dark. Heat, humidity and a rushed travel schedule made the finish tiring; Bernie wished there had been more recovery time around the trip.

    Source context and limitations

A 2019 full-marathon account by Bernie, distinct from her companion’s10km race. Darkness and aid observations belong to that edition. The short travel turnaround and jet lag were personal circumstances. Current course, start times and services may differ.
