What racers say

  • Maureen Götza — 29 April 2018 Winterberg 20 km account ↗

    Maureen Götza / LG Burg · 2018

Maureen and Anne enjoy the demanding ski-slope and bobsleigh-course challenge, foam and slide, and encouragement late in the race. They report early queues, rope-climb penalties and a late-notified shorter cutoff, finishing proud with help at obstacles.

Complete original signed narrative read through its conclusion; raced 29 April 2018 and nominal 20 km, described as 12 km plus 8 km loops. Their 4:28 finish beyond a reported 3:45 limit is the author’s account, not verified current policy or an independently checked result. Social-media elevation and older 2016 Möhnesee comparisons are not route measurements or another accepted source. Club account with funding unstated; Anne is a companion, not a second source unit. Walking, failures, penalties and assistance mean no all-obstacle claim. No numerical score, media/gallery read or health/training guidance adopted; the later Remmeswiese start is separate.

  • Florian Oberstelehn / Team H.U.L.K. — 2018 Wood Edition ↗

Florian Oberstelehn / OCR for Fun, Team H.U.L.K. · 2018

The team enjoys the steep, varied Winterberg course and its bobsleigh-area slide. The Battle-distance account values the challenge, teamwork and repeated obstacles, ending tired but enthusiastic about the next event.

Complete original narrative and conclusion read, published 9 May 2018. The principal group explicitly takes nominal 20 km Battle over two course sections; other teammates’ 8/12 km outings are not separate detailed reviews. Exact day, independent measurement, individual obstacle performance and entry funding are unstated. Team/publisher affiliation and advertising labels are visible; sponsorship is not inferred from ad slots. Their claim of successful completion is not independent proof of every obstacle. One collective account, not one per member or distance, and no numerical score. Media, invite form and later Winterberg site are excluded.

  • Runterra Winterberg 2016 — historical predecessor experience ↗

muddy (public athlete handle), Happy Spartans / Muddyface · 2016

The writer likes the challenging trails, obstacle design, helpful organization, volunteers and medal, while wishing for more climbing obstacles. Cold, mud, hills and shooting penalties make the outing demanding.

Historical predecessor context only. The original 2017 successor-organizer interview explicitly says it built the 2016 Runterra obstacles and bought the event rights; it distinguishes 2016’s Schneewittchenhaus start from 2017’s Biathlonstadion at Bremberg. This report describes two nominal 10 km laps and roughly 22 km including shooting-penalty loops, not today’s course or an independently measured track. It does not rate the later Remmeswiese start. The medal date has a year typo in the text; exact raced day is not reconstructed from that typo. The first-person article and all relevant text were read, not just its index excerpt. The author publishes OCR training/mental-coaching and retail links; entry funding is unstated and independence is not established. Complete relevant original authored text read. Photographs, videos and audio were not reviewed or reused. Identity, actual participation, finish, obstacle completion and measured distances are not independently audited. No overall numerical satisfaction score is inferred.

  • The 2017 original advertises 29 April at Bikepark/Trailpark Winterberg, Am Waltenberg 115, with nominal 8/12/20 km. Two complete 2018 participant reports identify the Bikepark/ski/bobsleigh course and 29 April 2018. The route and exact measured distances are not assumed identical across years.
  • The original programme has internally inconsistent obstacle/loop descriptions, so its advertised counts and nominal distances are not independent measurements. Maureen’s 2018 account describes 12 km plus an 8 km loop; later social-media elevation claims are not verified surveying.
  • WOLL explicitly says the start/finish first moved to Lamfert above Remmeswiese in 2019. That newer programme has its own listing; neither the older native 4.3/5 nor the 2018 reports are transferred to the new start area.
  • Historical original programmes only. The current former organizer homepage could not be reached; no new edition, unchanged route or permanent retirement is inferred from that failure.
  • The complete original 2017 organizer interview says Hellweg Solution built the 2016 Runterra obstacles and bought the event rights. It distinguishes 2016’s Schneewittchenhaus start from the 2017 Biathlonstadion at Bremberg. The 2016 participant report is therefore labeled historical predecessor context within the former Winterberg course-area family, not a 2017/2018 Lake Run outing or an assessment of the separately listed later Remmeswiese start. It does not establish identical starts or route continuity.
