Reports and event feedback
- Tapio Hautala — friendly organization and a memorable wrong turn ↗
Tapio Hautala / organizer-selected interview · 2018
Praises the friendly organization and community. Recalls missing a fell on his first outing and returning to complete it, adding a substantial detour.
Complete organizer-selected interview identifies his first Ylläs outing in 2018; the original event history corroborates that edition and property. His reported five-to-ten-kilometre extra detour is not the official course length. Precise class, day, official result and entry funding are unstated. His claim to have attended every edition at an unknown publication date is not evidence of attendance at later Tampere races. His best-in-Finland opinion supplies no numerical overall.
- Regine Müller — snow, scenery and a welcoming community ↗
Regine Müller / organizer-selected interview · 2018
Recalls Ylläs and the Kesänki scenery with enthusiasm. Values the organizers, volunteers and community, and feels her outings gave her enough time to reach the finish.
Complete organizer-selected interview explicitly identifies her first Winter Warrior in 2018 with a friend and memories at Ylläs/Kesänki. The friend is not a second independently authored account. Exact distance, class, raced day, official result and funding are unknown. Later memories do not confirm unchanged conditions or participation at Tampere. Training, equipment and health recommendations are excluded; no numerical overall.

- Series
- Winter Warrior Finland
- The organizer’s retrospective identifies the first race on 21 April 2018, describes planning around Kesänkijärvi between Kellostapuli and Kesänki, and arranging a Kellokas Nature Centre event base. The inaugural course is described as approximately fifteen kilometres; later editions are not assigned the same layout or distance.
- The original section headed The final year in Ylläs identifies 2023 as the last Ylläs edition. Tampere began later, in 2025, at a different property. The story index’s conflicting 2008 first-year label is not used: the detailed history and both selected participants identify 2018.
- The two selected interviews describe their first 2018 outings and later memories without establishing every later distance, race day or property. Participant praise is preserved as attributed opinion, with no numerical overall. Organizer claims about surveys do not supply published survey results.
- The original timer explicitly identifies Winter Warrior Ylläs on 15 April 2023 and labels its Warrior class fifteen kilometres. The header and class heading corroborate the final historical date; roster positions and times are not satisfaction ratings. The exact 2023 event base, start gate and layout are not assumed to match the inaugural race.
- Advertised or participant-reported lengths and obstacle inventories are estimates, not independently surveyed measurements. Historical experiences do not establish an unchanged later course. The checked sources provide no numerical overall for this family.
