Reports and event feedback

  • Kayla Bongers — first OCR100 and three-kilometre experience ↗

Kayla Bongers / personal sports blog · 2023

Finds the three-kilometre course weighted toward upper-body, ninja-style obstacles rather than her strengths in balance and lower-body challenges. Reports not finishing her first OCR100.

Complete original short account and publication metadata read; published 26 October 2023. Explicitly names Genk and distinguishes OCR100 from her pentathlon experience. She eases off in the three-kilometre race to conserve energy; its finish status, class and exact raced days are unstated. The OCR100 non-finish is explicit. She thanks Obstacle Australia for team support, without stating entry/travel funding or commercial terms. Other people’s support and photographs are not additional accounts; no images or personal health details are reused. No numerical overall is given.

  • Swedish club competitors — late start and enjoyable obstacles ↗

Linnea Stenson and Victoria Jansson / Sports Club OCR selected exchanges · 2023

Stenson says a start-group error left her starting the Short late and recalls an exhilarating Standard finish. Jansson enjoys the course and obstacles, while finding the closing stages demanding.

Complete original club report, both exchanges and conclusion read; published 19 September 2023. Stenson discusses three-kilometre Short and nominal fourteen-kilometre Standard in AG20–24. Jansson describes Standard in AG45–49. Both are club members; funding and exact commercial terms are unstated. Stenson’s start allegation is her account, not a universal finding. One club-selected publication supplies both voices. Other athletes’ results, medical details and the writer’s broader timing/kit claims are not additional firsthand reviews. No numerical overall is stated.

  • UIPM’s original programme identifies racing on 15–17 September 2023. The earlier announcement and Hungarian report give the broader 14–17 September event window. The Swedish club delegation explicitly identifies Thor Park, a former mining site; an exact start for every discipline is unverified.
  • UIPM advertises a fifteen-kilometre Standard, six-kilometre team race and eight-kilometre Open. The Hungarian raced report and Swedish club instead describe the Standard as fourteen kilometres. The January announcement also advertised a three-kilometre team race and fifty Standard obstacles, while the raced report describes six kilometres and more than thirty. These changing descriptions are not reconciled into measured figures.
  • This is the World Obstacle / UIPM championship, kept distinct from other independently organized OCR World Championships. Kayla’s first-person account explicitly reports a 100-metre non-finish; her three-kilometre finish status is unverified. The club’s selected exchanges concern named age groups and historical courses. Medals, finish times and registration totals are not satisfaction scores.
  • Programme lengths and obstacle figures are source descriptions, not surveyed measurements. Historical accounts do not confirm an unchanged later route or operating arrangements. No numerical overall is supplied by the read sources.
