  • Tri to Cook

    Raced 2009 · Blog

    Tone: Mixed

A finisher describes a comfortable lake swim despite fog, followed by demanding hills and cold, heavy rain on the bike. They rode cautiously around traffic and turns, then finished strongly on a run that climbed away from transition. This account describes 2009, not current logistics or typical weather.

  • Jim Gazzale, interviewing returning athletes Tom Denham and Kristen Lennon-McMahan

    Adirondack Sports participant interviews

    Tone: Positive

Returning sprint participants praise the lake swim, convenient parking, challenging scenery on the bike and support at this small event. Their completed editions are not dated. The article was written before the 2021 race by the organizing club president, so its promotional connection is explicit; training and future-race plans are not counted as completed athlete reviews.
