  • Waves start 7:05 to 7:40 AM, ahead of the Florida midday heat
  • Venue is 0.2 mi (320 m) east of A1A, simple for a day trip
  • Sprint swim is short, 0.4 km (0.25 mi); Olympic is two laps of 1.5 km (0.93 mi)

Watch out for

  • A swimmer died in October 2021, in red-flag surf of 3 to 4 ft (0.9 to 1.2 m).
  • Surf and rip currents vary by day; weak swimmers should check conditions and talk to lifeguards before the start.
  • Bike uses public A1A and we found no road closure details.
  • Few athletes have written about this race; most evidence is local news from 2021 to 2023.
  • The fall Game On! race at Vilano Beach is a separate event.
