    Raced 2026 · RunSpirited

    Tone: Mixed

The solo runner covered 35 mi (56.3 km) after a lightning delay reduced available running time. Mud, humidity and personal nutrition problems slowed him; his crew helped with water and cooling, and changing to trail shoes helped after a fall. He was proud of continuing. The article appears on his coaching website.

Raced 2024 · The Highlight Zone

    Tone: Mixed

Relay account only: Paul describes intense heat, the canal towpath, rooted climbing and supportive teammates. His final long loop missed the finish deadline and did not count. This supports shared course, conditions and lap-scoring descriptions; it does not describe solo ultra endurance.

  • Monon Track Club

Raced 2019 · Monon Track Club

    Tone: Mixed

Relay account only: the club describes hot repeated loops, a steep hill, roots and strong local running-club support. Teammates used the recreation center to cool down and planned to return. This is shared-course evidence, not a solo ultra report, and the club website also sells apparel.

Raced 2016 · Run with Perseverance

    Tone: Mixed

The solo entrant stopped after 3:12 with an official 13.3 mi (21.4 km), below ultramarathon distance, as heat overwhelmed his run-walk plan. He appreciated the post-run showers and chose to protect his later marathon training. This is an early-withdrawal account of an eight-hour entry, not an ultra finish.
