Michael Strobel’s brief personal 2013 full-marathon log. Self-reported and not independently verified. A very brief historical trail-marathon assessment. The current event is advertised as 26.3 miles, not an exact 42.195 km road marathon; no Sehgahunda 72 completion is claimed.

Oullins Triathlon, unsigned club report about Fabrice · 2026

Event context · see format details

The club describes a windy, rough swim that organizers shortened, and a bike course where road conditions required care. Its account of Fabrice’s race ends with a positive description of the post-race gathering.

Community opinion; participation and firsthand experience are not established. Complete Porticcio section within the club’s18 May 2026 roundup. These are attributed third-person club observations about Fabrice, not his direct quotation or proof that the unnamed writer attended. The report says the planned 2.4 km swim was shortened to 1 km, followed by 96 km of cycling and 20 km of running. It is therefore retained as event context rather than transferred to standard half-distance feedback. OpenLakes Lyon’s separate account and water conditions are excluded. No current weather, safety or route guarantee follows.

    Gerhard Weiland · 2025

Event context · see format details

Weiland describes calm regatta water, a flat, fast four-lap bike course with restrictions on aero-bar use at the ends, and short run ramps. He praises the organization, refreshments and spectator-friendly, familiar setting; a shoe problem was his own transition mistake.

First-person historical 2025 club report by Gerhard Weiland. The original calls the short race both Sprint and Jedermann, with no complete run measurement, so this is event context rather than a silently normalized standard distance. The shoe problem is personal equipment handling. This is the Oberschleißheim regatta event, not the separate RIEMER Teamtriathlon or all events run by the same organizer.

Participant-authored 2023 DSW Darmstadt club account by Sandra Weber, who is listed in the racing women’s team. Complete leg totals are absent, so this is historical event context. The borrowed wheel was help before the race, not an organizer equipment service guarantee.

Knapp describes overtaking in shared pool lanes, a flat bike course that felt fast in calm conditions and a forest run. She valued the team’s coordinated support and encouraging spectators.

First-person 2019 DSW Darmstadt women’s league report signed Julia Knapp. Its 500 m / 19 km / 5 km format is retained as historical event context; current pool-lane arrangements, drafting rules and weather are not inferred.

    David Freibott · 2022

Event context · see format details

Freibott reports a delayed start while an oil spill was cleared, a spacious transition and marked but sometimes unavoidable potholes on the bike. The two-lap forest run and finish refreshments contributed to the team’s positive assessment.

Community opinion; participation and firsthand experience are not established. Attributed 2022 DSW Darmstadt club report signed David Freibott. His own racing or attendance is not established in the article, so this is community event context. The delay, surface conditions and refreshments describe that edition.

    Way We Run · 2017

    Sprint triathlon

In the complete written description of a first outdoor sprint, the athlete found the 300-yard swim a definite challenge after only recently learning to swim beyond short distances.

A brief participant-written description from May 2017, rather than a full race review. The original identifies a 300-yard swim, 10-mile bike and 3.1-mile run; an official finish and unchanged course were not independently verified. The difficulty comment describes this novice swimmer’s personal experience, not the swim’s general safety or difficulty for others. The video has no available transcript, so its untranscribed narration is not used. No numerical rating is assigned.

The writer describes a zig-zag pool swim with an exit and re-entry, seven bike laps on damaged roads that required avoiding potholes, and a run that felt stronger. She enjoyed the sunny day and friendly people and recommended the race.

2023 ELE-Triathlon in Gladbeck, written in the first person under Camila Alfaros. The described course was 800 m / 38.5 km / just under 10 km, so it is event context rather than a standard Olympic review. The sports-club publication and historical course are explicit.

Florian describes a cool start and a shortened zig-zag swim, a partly windy bike course with poor road surfaces, and a warming park run. He was pleased with his finish and thought the race remained well organized.

2022 Gladbeck account explicitly signed Florian K., a TriForce-Vital racer. The swim was reduced to 800 m and the course was 38.5 km on the bike with roughly 10 km running. This is historical event context, not a standard Olympic course claim; the account’s medical details are excluded.

    thebeardedactuary (Dallas Running Guide)

Event context · see format details

In an older outside-race run on Duck Creek Greenbelt, thebeardedactuary found the concrete paths wide and almost flat. He described much of the western path north of Oates Road as shaded and enjoyed the route as a change from his usual Dallas runs.

Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Historical outside-race running context from a post published in December 2012. The described outing includes Duck Creek paths north of Oates Road used by the published 2026 Garland route, but also extends beyond that course. A finish is stated but retained bracelet is not; an unsuccessful barrel and assistance to his child are preserved.
