Marathon

The first-time marathoner enjoyed a strong opening and chilly running weather, then slowed to walking after joint discomfort around 32 km. They were proud and relieved to run the final stretch and finish inside their five-hour target.

Marathon

A crowded narrow opening led to an ankle twist, and some shuttle passengers had to stand for an hour. Later rain brought relief, while aid helped them through a difficult return.
