Thierry Place, Annonay Triathlon club report · 2026
Event context · see format details
The club describes difficult swimming with current and weeds, followed by strong heat. It reports that the M race’s run was shortened to 5 km and celebrates a memorable weekend for its athletes.
Community opinion; participation and firsthand experience are not established. Complete original club roundup published 22 June 2026. This is Thierry Place’s attributed club assessment, not a direct quotation from the named finishers; his attendance is not independently established. It spans several formats, and the historical M run was reportedly shortened to 5 km. Those observations remain 2026 event context and do not describe the 2027 course or establish present water conditions. Club affiliation and its focus on members’ successes are explicit.

Chris Worfolk · 2023
Marathon
Chris found the opening 10 km hilly before a flatter greenway out-and-back. Warming sun made frequent extra water stations welcome. Racing a triathlon the day before left him tired and anxious, but encouragement from clubmates helped him finish in 4:23:19.
A club runner’s 2023 full-marathon recap. He raced a middle-distance triathlon the previous day, which affected fatigue and hydration; route and extra water arrangements describe that edition.

Sandra Wirth · 2022
Event context · see format details
Wirth describes choosing to swim without a wetsuit, then finding the hilly, tightly turning bike course poorly suited to her time-trial bike. The run was hilly too, and she was glad to have only one lap.
Participant report explicitly attributed to Sandra Wirth by Triathlon Team Düsseldorf, her club, though narrated in the third person. It describes her 2022 short-course race, not Michael’s separate Olympic race. The current DTU listing marks the 27 June 2026 edition canceled; this historical feedback does not imply it took place.

Obstacle
The detailed premiere-era writers praise obstacle variety, spectators and volunteers but criticize showers/changing, catering and value. Some wanted more obstacles and less running between them; one reports that the slide closed early.
All seven complete original cards read. Three detailed anonymous 2019 accounts carry those opinions; later 2021/2022 cards mainly contain scores. Exact raced distances and current route, shower provision or catering are unverified. These are historical reports and a selected platform population, not proof of present conditions or seven independent athletes.

Jeff
70.3 / half triathlon
Jeff enjoyed the cool lake and mountain scenery, but found the steep bike climbs extremely demanding in the heat. He describes narrow open-road descents requiring care, separated transitions with an organizer shuttle, and only one bike aid station before a later water point.
Participant account published by Oullins Triathlon, his club. Historical Triathlon des Pyrénées L on 28 June; year not stated. The current EMBLEM Saint Lary listing explicitly retains the Triathlon des Pyrénées name and Payolle-to-Saint-Lary setting. Course, aid and weather observations describe his edition.

Jack / Cycle2Tri · 2011
Event context · see format details
Jack enjoyed the race briefing and was pleased with his day overall. He found firm riding mixed with soft sandy sections, a twisty technical run through trees and a difficult hot loop around the lake. His own distraction led to wrong turns, and his race belt complicated transition.
Historical 2011 off-road race at Magnolia Hill in Navasota, including an 800 m swim. Exact individual bike/run distances are unstated, so this is family context rather than a current Sprint review. Personal navigation and equipment difficulties are attributed to Jack, not generalized as course marking failures. The report appears on his commercial coaching site. It does not establish today’s route, surface or services.
