    Paul Gazut · 2023

Event context · see format details

Gazut describes a technical bike course that became slippery in rain, with crowded riding and difficult bridge access. Despite two falls, he enjoyed racing with his friends and wanted to return.

Direct 2023 relay cyclist interview. Gazut was also an intern at the publishing newspaper, La Dépêche, an affiliation disclosed by the article. His comments concern the Sprint relay bike leg, not an individual triathlon or the later GorillaMan long race. Complete distances are unstated.

    Solène Tan · 2023

Event context · see format details

Tan enjoyed winning in her home town but found the race long and the bike especially slippery when rain returned. She distinguishes the wet bike difficulty from the rest of her race.

Direct 2023 athlete interview in La Dépêche. Tan identifies her longstanding Triathlon Club Montalbanais affiliation. This university-championship account has no complete distance specification and remains event context; it does not describe the 2026 GorillaMan long format.

Devenir Triathlète episode notes, quoting an unnamed cover-photo recollection

Event context · see format details

A recollection in the episode notes describes two participants who got along well at a previous edition, returned and brought more people with them. It offers a small account of friendship and repeat participation around the event, without assessing the course or services.

Community opinion; participation and firsthand experience are not established. Full written episode notes published on 31 May 2026 for an interview with event organizer Nicolas Hauptmann. Only the actual cover-photo recollection is used; the audio was not transcribed or claimed as fully heard. The quoted speaker is not explicitly identified, and their attendance and firsthand experience are unverified. The publisher and organizer were also promoting the event and offering two free entries to listeners. This historical social account does not review the separately listed 2027 edition.

  • Strong Viking Wächtersbach: historical platform comments ↗

    Anonymous HDsports reviewer

    Obstacle

One writer praises the atmosphere and obstacles but wants more motivated obstacle helpers and parking included in the entry price.

Both native review cards read in full. The substantive paragraph was posted in November 2018; the June 2018 card has scores without narrative. Actual raced years and distances are unverified, and anonymous cards are not independently verified athletes. Historical Wächtersbach/Frankfurt family context; current helper performance, parking prices and course conditions are not established.

  • Wächtersbach 2016 — historical regional Beast experience ↗

muddy (public athlete handle), Happy Spartans / Muddyface · 2016

Event context · see format details

The participant praises organization, course, aid and demanding obstacle design, considers the price fair, and wishes for a medal rather than a bracelet. Illness and cramps make their own outing harder.

Historical regional participant context: the source explicitly names 7 May 2016 in Wächtersbach and the nominal 19 km Beast, but not the exact property. It does not independently establish an unchanged present Weiherhof course. The author fails obstacles and uses burpees; no all-obstacles finish is claimed here. They meet organizer Jan and the obstacle designer, a disclosed relationship rather than proof of free entry. Prior Fürstenau recollections are not another independent review. The author publishes OCR training/mental-coaching and retail links; entry funding is unstated and independence is not established. Complete relevant original authored text read. Photographs, videos and audio were not reviewed or reused. Identity, actual participation, finish, obstacle completion and measured distances are not independently audited. No overall numerical satisfaction score is inferred.

  • Patrick — partial Wächtersbach Beast during the 2017 weather stoppage ↗

Patrick / PatrickLinker, hosted by Muddyface · 2017

Event context · see format details

Patrick is deeply disappointed when staff direct him off the course during a weather stoppage before he can finish the remaining obstacles. He says he understands the safety rationale, but receiving a shirt and bracelet does not resolve his frustration.

Historical regional participant context only. The complete Nijmegen report contains a substantive first-person account of 3 June 2017 at Wächtersbach, with a nominal Beast entry and roughly three-quarters completed before removal from the course. Exact property and continuity with the current Weiherhof course are not established, so distance formats stay empty. This is a stopped partial outing, not a completed Beast or an independently verified unnecessary cancellation. Personal life history is excluded. Same containing URL and author as the Nijmegen account. The hosting site publishes commercial OCR coaching/training and retail links; this does not establish the contributor’s independence or entry arrangements. Complete relevant original authored text read. Actual identity, attendance, finish, obstacle completion, distances and measurements are not independently audited. Entry funding is unknown unless stated; no overall numerical satisfaction score is supplied or inferred. Photographs, videos, audio and the complete comment archive were not reviewed or reused.

    Wil Chung · 2023

    Obstacle

Chung enjoyed the slide, challenging water obstacles and views, while criticizing extra zigzags added to the running route. He notes that Slidin Dirty closed on Saturday and reopened Sunday. His author score is 8.2/10.

Author currently discloses Tough Mudder and footwear ambassador roles. The article includes a Tough Mudder discount promotion. Historical 2023 report with mixed distance obstacle notes; no claim that closures or layouts persist.

  • Wil Chung — Belvoir Castle’s 2019 Classic course ↗

    Wil Chung · 2019

2019 Belvoir Castle Saturday Classic — reported ten miles; separate from Europe’s Toughest Mudder

Welcomes the change from two loops to a single course, its hillier opening and new water obstacles. Finds some crossing sections flat and dull and the early village quieter than London West.

The author explicitly runs the Saturday ten-mile Classic at Belvoir Castle and does not enter the simultaneous Europe’s Toughest Mudder. Exact personal day, finish and complete obstacle performance are unstated. The quiet-village observation is limited by his early departure. No new numerical overall is supplied. The author currently declares Tough Mudder, 361° and Enertor ambassador roles and promotes discount codes; individual entry compensation is unverified. The page is dated 22 April 2023, while its title and narrative identify the historical raced year. Repeated author reports are not independent-athlete counts. Complete original written article read; embedded video and source photographs remain unreviewed and are not reused. Obstacle dimensions, electrical descriptions and weather are attributed claims, not independently measured or certified conditions.
