Moni enjoyed her improved swim and teammates’ encouragement but found the transition walk very long. She stopped after the bike and did not complete the run.
2015 GEWOBA City Triathlon Bremen. A self-chosen partial swim-bike outing, not a complete triathlon finish. MC Pirate team / sportswear publication; the long-transition impression concerns that historical edition.

70.3 / half triathlon
Altenbeck-Zorn praised the atmosphere after finishing. She found the swim straightforward and the run pleasant, and said she could imagine returning.
Brief firsthand 2026 middle-distance finisher interview quoted by Wilhelmshavener Zeitung reporter Martin Münzberger and republished by StadtSportBund Wilhelmshaven. First-person 2025 individual Pöhler account selected and published by Duale Hochschule Sachsen, with institutional publicity intent disclosed. Its 6 km run is retained explicitly as historical event context; it is not converted into a standard 5 km Sprint account.

Kim K · 2019
Marathon
A first-time 2019 marathon finisher enjoyed the shaded downhill trail and tunnel but was deeply disappointed by support: she encountered two unmanned aid stations without water and felt slower runners were neglected. She recommended the course while criticizing that edition’s organization.
Reported format: marathon. Published on running-coaching business TeamRunRun; one athlete perspective, no independent aggregate.

Rebekka Ott · 2020
Event context · see format details
Ott enjoyed returning to racing and praised the spaced transition, staggered starts and clear organization. She found the cross bike course demanding and the humid 10 km run hard; showers made the bike and run surfaces feel more like a cross event.
Firsthand 2020 interview with Rebekka Ott of Triathlon Wetterau, published by the Hessian triathlon federation and written by Tanja Weber. Historical pandemic procedures and conditions only; full historical swim length is not printed. The federation’s promotional praise is separate from Ott’s attributed experience.

Betsy / 300 Days of Sunshine · 2015
Sprint triathlon
Betsy enjoyed the scenic, rolling bike ride and athletes encouraging each other on the crowded run. Morning setup felt hectic and the repetitive dirt-road run less interesting. Warming up helped her settle into her best race swim, and she finished with renewed confidence.
June 27, 2015 Santa Rosa Sprint: 750m swim, approximately 13-mile bike and 5K run. Historic course, crowds and personal weather impressions are not current conditions. Her subjective water impressions do not establish water quality or safety. Her husband’s result is not another review. No race affiliation is disclosed.
physikerin / Physikerin Knits · 2015
Olympic triathlon
The swimmer found the lake leg difficult and notes kayakers checking on her. She enjoyed the rolling country-road bike and relatively flat run, though the repeated run section seemed confusing and a late hill reduced her to walking. She reports little food at the finish.
June 27, 2015 Olympic: 1500m swim, 25-mile bike and 6.2-mile run, published August 4. She wore a wetsuit despite the non-wetsuit-legal temperature and says this removed award eligibility rather than disqualifying her. Historical layout, support, food and conditions may differ now. Blue Hole was a post-race plunge, not the race swim. No race affiliation is disclosed.
