  • Kensuke Sato

Raced 2023 · Kensuke Sato on note

    Tone: Mixed

Sato recounts the FUJI long-distance event, explicitly connecting it to the former UTMF name. Hard climbing, a crowded aid station, a sleep stop and later nausea complicated his race, while volunteers and familiar faces helped him continue. This Japanese-language account concerns the 2023 course, not the current distance or support map.

  • Hajime Manba

Raced 2023 · Paagoworks athlete interview

    Tone: Mixed

In a sponsor-hosted firsthand interview, Manba describes his fourth-place FUJI finish in 21:24:07. Early heat, rough climbing and a missing preferred food at one aid station required adjustments, while companionship and finish-line encouragement helped. His elite experience on the 2023 FUJI course is distinct from the shorter KAI race.
