Browse 3,063 race listings and athlete ratings. Explore triathlons, marathons and ultras, including races we haven’t rated yet.
New listings are checked against organizer and registration pages. Race reports and feedback are linked even while a race is awaiting a full rating. Each account reflects its author, edition and race format. Past editions stay labeled until a new date is listed.
Anton praised plentiful drinks and helpful young volunteers. Darkness hid central landmarks, narrow two-way sections were awkward, and motor traffic intruded as morning arrived. Bridge climbs, humidity and his own knee pain slowed him; long eastern stretches offered little scenery.
A Marathon4you contributor’s 2018 full-marathon report during a multi-race trip. His knee injury limited his run. Traffic, route and aid observations describe that edition, not current arrangements.
The runner found race-day parking easy and the flat paved course conducive to a personal best. Repeated turnarounds and the visually repetitive final stretch made the closing miles mentally tough.
Reported format: Marathon,26.2 miles /42.2 km. Fast runner accompanied by their coach; personal result does not predict other athletes’ performance.
David enjoyed the ocean views once daylight arrived and praised plentiful aid and enthusiastic volunteers, even before sunrise. The second loop became quieter and hotter, but he valued the support and varied finish food. He was pleased to finish strongly despite the tropical conditions.
A 2014 full-marathon account by David of Goal-Oriented Runner, a Marathon Maniacs/Globetrotters member. The host hotel and resort arrangements were personal travel choices. Historical aid, massage priority and food do not establish current benefits, and the current organizer homepage timed out during this check.
Big Dave found the waterfall’s sights and sound memorable, describing several viewpoints while descending the lower stairs toward the Reflection Pool.
Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Outside-race course context, not IronHike participation. The account lists hikes in March 2008, April 2014 and May 2023 without assigning every observation to one visit. It covers the lower staircase descent, not the full staircase ascent or repeated endurance laps, current conditions or event support.
Bobby Bell (Blackhorse Association board/marketing representative) · 2025
Event context · see format details
Bobby Bell reports that a government shutdown complicated planning for the 2025 event. He describes the family donation that covered the post-race barbecue and praises the serving Troopers and volunteers who helped the event happen.
Community opinion; participation and firsthand experience are not established. Organizer-affiliated operational reflection on the 2025 mixed-distance event. Bell was a Blackhorse Association board and marketing representative present that weekend; his account is not independent athlete satisfaction and does not establish that he ran. The planning difficulty, barbecue funding and praise for support staff concern that edition, without assessing any current course, distance-specific services or runner performance.
Leslie Marie reported that the volunteer signup link was not working when she tried to help on race day. The organizer replied that volunteers were still needed, and she said she would come shortly.
Community opinion; participation and firsthand experience are not established. Historical volunteer-information access experience from December 13, 2025, beneath the organizer’s exact December Frozen Hare call for volunteers. She was a prospective helper; actual attendance, volunteering, race participation and entered distance are not established. This is attributed community context about her reported trouble using that signup link, not evidence that a current link remains broken or that race-day timing, course marking or athlete services failed. The complete organizer response and her follow-up are retained.
Donnie (Journey Thru-N-C; self-identifies as Dino Donnie)
Event context · see format details
On a short walk with Sandra, Donnie found the park trail easy and a pleasant place to unwind. He enjoyed the scenery and described the surroundings as beautiful and well kept. His account covers the short natural-surface park section, rather than the longer paved greenway to the north.
Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Outside-race walking context from a personal video published in April 2023; the actual outing date is unknown. It concerns only the short natural-surface park section shared with the current map. Donnie did not cover the longer paved greenway, and this account does not review a full marathon, race services or current conditions. The same walker and physical segment are reused for two seasonal listings, rather than counted as independent athlete reviews. Auto-generated captions may contain errors.
Jake Smallcomb liked the appearance of Commons Park’s perimeter paths.
Community opinion; participation and firsthand experience are not established. Attributed community context about the perimeter paths at Commons Park. Only the outer western, northern and eastern shoreline portions shared by the published race route are relevant here. His broad appraisal does not isolate every shared section, and the race does not use all perimeter, inner or southern paths. Attendance, firsthand traversal and the visit date and year are unverified. This is not a race or marathon review, evidence of current conditions, or a review of the whole route. The same writer and source are reused for two calendar entries, rather than two independent accounts.

Marathon
A 2025 Marathon Project Golden Wave finisher enjoyed learning the repeated loop, predictable aid and seeing the same enthusiastic supporters repeatedly. He felt treated like an elite runner with bottles and pacers and achieved his sub-2:37 goal.
Chris found the snow-covered glacier much harder to run than a road marathon, comparing its uneven footing to sand or trails. Fresh snowfall slowed him despite relatively mild temperatures and little wind. He valued the scenery and friendly international group; weather delayed the flight into camp by a day.
A personal 2022 full-marathon account by Chris Boundy. Historical course, weather and support observations may differ from later editions. The brief diary comes from a runner pursuing marathon country and state goals.
