Sam Holloway · 2024

William Brent · 2026
Marathon
Brent liked the stadium experiences, expo, plentiful drinks and accessible restrooms. He found the early crowding, poorly marked first water stops, rough road patches and post-finish stadium stairs less enjoyable, while still recommending the marathon overall.
A 2026 inaugural-edition full-marathon review on WeeViews. Brent's detailed positive and negative observations describe his own race and travel experience; they are not a guarantee of current support or road conditions. The review mentions personal gear and fueling choices, which are excluded here. No gifted entry or organizer affiliation is disclosed.

CHE (Riding The Mindway) · 2020
Event context · see format details
After cycling north from Riceville through McIntire in April 2020, CHE recommended the Wapsi-Great Western Line Trail, describing curving wooded sections, bridges and open farmland. Strong wind made the outward ride harder, and different signs through McIntire briefly confused the riders.
Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Outside-race cycling context from April 2020 on the Iowan WGWL Northern Branch between Riceville, McIntire and the state line. The current IronHorse marathon also uses Minnesota’s Shooting Star Trail, which this ride did not cover.
