Iris Regalado · 2006
Marathon
Iris valued cheering spectators, friendly conversations with other runners and strong family and club support. The exposed late miles became intensely hot, but she reached the stadium delighted to finish her first full marathon. Personal roadside drinks and encouragement helped her through.
A historical full-marathon account dated to 2006 by its progression from November 2005 to the following August 6. The writer belonged to the organizing Club Corredores del Istmo, and relatives provided extensive personal support. Wolfgang Bernath · 2024

Wolfgang found the flat course fairly monotonous but liked its coastal sections, plentiful aid and easy start-area logistics. Rain left puddles and interrupted the run. Support was sparse on course but strong at the finish, and he felt the race worked well as part of a short Cyprus visit.

The authors praised organization, generous aid and the lively arena-area finish. Old-town sections were enjoyable, while long straights and parts of the second half had little support. They noted clear separation from half-marathon runners and were happy with their finishes.
A shared 2024 full-marathon report by two Marathon4you contributors. The article describes a changed second half that year; its route, aid and crowd observations are historical.

u/Recent-Buyer1927 · 2024
Marathon
The marathon runner found the course unexpectedly hard, particularly a long gradual climb around32–38 km. They appreciated efficient packet collection and water every2 km, but described the hills as a serious challenge rather than a setting for their fastest time.

DEO · 2025
Marathon
DEO found the scenery exceptional and praised staff and volunteers, but sand and climbs made the course demanding. A steep sandy hill disrupted the planned six-hour pacing, and the runner would have preferred an earlier start to avoid the warmth.
A 2025 full-marathon account from public Marathon Maniacs self-log author DEO, who was pacing for Beast Pacing. Pacer affiliation is disclosed; compensation or gifted entry is not established. The runner's GPS short-distance remark is not a course measurement finding. Historical heat and service observations may differ at later editions.
