Dane (See Dane Run) · 2009

Event context · see format details

On his 2009 race along Highway 91, Dane found the early downhill tempting to run aggressively. Once the sun was fully out, the exposed road became difficult for him, and the mountain shade he could see ahead never seemed to get closer.

Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Historical course context from a different, older Mesquite Marathon on the Highway 91 corridor shared with the currently published 3 State Marathon map. This is a November 2009 experience, not a review of the new 2027 race. Start and finish arrangements, exact course length, weather, traffic management, aid and organization may differ. Dane’s blog promotes his running books, speaking and event consulting; no compensation for this report is disclosed.

  • Armin Wanner and Karin Stuhler — selected 2023 year-end participant exchanges ↗

Participants quoted by Christian Kruppe / Schwabmünchner Allgemeine · 2023

    Obstacle

Armin values enjoying a twelve-kilometre year-end outing without focusing on the clock. Karin describes returning with friends as their shared way to close the year.

Complete relevant original newspaper narrative, both selected participant exchanges and conclusion read, published 2 January 2024 with an earlier 1 January update. The organizer’s original press index identifies the eleventh edition as 31 December 2023 at Luitpoldpark. Armin’s stated 12 km is his intended/entered context, not independently verified finish or every-obstacle completion; Karin’s distance and both independent identities/funding are unknown. At-event interviews are not post-race finisher verification or a representative sample. One containing page counts once, not one per speaker. Reporter observations, donations, medical details and galleries do not add athlete opinions. No numerical score or 2027 course assessment.

  • Two native community opinions — historical year-end event atmosphere ↗

Ralf Klocke and Veronika Hoppe on HDsports

Event context · see format details

Ralf praises the setting and family atmosphere. Veronika reports having fun and wanting to return each year.

Complete original aggregate and both short native cards read. Posts are dated 23 December 2022 and 17 March 2025, both edited 17 October 2025; raced editions are unknown. Attributed community opinions with attendance, finishes, identity, affiliation and funding unverified, not verified finisher reports. The event has obstacle and obstacle-free cross entries, and neither author identifies a class or distance. One containing page counts once. The 4.3/5 overall is separately attributed event-wide context, not OCR-exclusive or recalculated from these comments. No assumption of independent reviewers, a raced cancelled-2025 edition, unchanged 2027 route or summer-race transfer.

Perspective: spectator; this is not a finisher review. A historical October 26, 2025 club eyewitness account of the Portland, Texas Boo Bash event. The writer describes moments they witnessed, but their personal racing or finishing role and entered distance are unknown. This is club-affiliated spectator context, with an additional attributed eyewitness comment whose organizational role is unverified. Ersan Bijedić · 2021

    Marathon

Bijedić liked the gently rolling course and flat final stretch, but a poorly marked turn led to a short detour. Cool, light-rain conditions suited him, while slippery cobbles near Kastel and a late turnaround needed care.

A 2021 first-person marathon assessment by a runner writing for Moje trčanje. It describes the first edition under TRK's organization, not current marking, routing or services. The earlier operator's shortcomings are separate background. The accompanying video was not viewed or counted as another athlete source. No gifted entry or organizer role is stated.

kuota, Tripadvisor foreshore visitor and recreational runner

Event context · see format details

Kuota enjoyed a leisurely run along Busselton’s foreshore and praised its revamped path, contrasting this relaxed outing with earlier racing visits.

Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Historical outside-race running course-preview, not a Busselton Tri Club Race 3 report. The original card labels the visit June 2021 and was written on 21 July 2021. Kuota explicitly describes a leisurely run along the foreshore, mentioning the surf headquarters and skatepark. The current Race 3 organizer run map places the start beside the surf club and uses the adjoining foreshore path eastward. Only this shared initial foreshore-path setting is covered; the writer’s complete running route is not established. Past Ironman participation is not assigned to the club race. No current facilities, parking, race support, whole-course quality or safety claim is made.

Community opinion; participation and firsthand experience are not established. A brief historical newspaper assessment of the 2002 national championship at Sherman, not a 2026 participant review. José Edwin Sánchez reports the completed race and describes its weather as warm and demanding. His personal attendance is not established. A separate contemporary article explicitly identifies the same week’s championship as Olympic distance. This is national championship-family context only: it is distinct from the separately held Sprint championship and Sherman festival, and does not establish current routes, conditions or services.

    Arsenan · 2017

    Marathon

Arsenan appreciated free metro travel to the start, but cold wind and rain made the marathon hard. He felt the first aid point was too far away, found toilets inconvenient, and struggled with exposed bridges and a late climb. Personal gear failures compounded a difficult race, though he was satisfied with a 4:03 finish.

A 2017 Changsha full-marathon report by Arsenan, republished on his personal running archive. Severe weather and his own equipment problems shaped a poor experience. Only the Changsha section is summarized; other cities and distances are excluded. Later editions may differ.

    Donzathoustra, Nageurs.com swimmer review

Event context · see format details

Donzathoustra praises swimming rhythmic lengths in Montbauron’s 50 m pool, while noting that some Saturday mornings were busy.

Perspective: course preview outside the race; race-day execution is not established. Historical visitor course-preview for Montbauron’s 50 m sports pool only. Donzathoustra’s individual swimmer review was posted on 5 September 2017; the visit date is not separately established. The writer describes personal swimming experience, outside FUSE and years before its 2026 Versailles edition. The city names Montbauron as the FUSE venue, and the organizer describes 50 m swimming lengths. Public-session crowding in this old review is not a statement about FUSE waves, present lane availability or race organization. The smaller learning, leisure and paddling pools are excluded. No current cleanliness, water-condition or safety conclusion is drawn.
