Santanu · 2025

Marathon

Santanu loved the Dal Lake scenery but found the cold start and late climb challenging. He reported no food remaining when he finished and a long delay getting his result. Free race photographs were a welcome positive.

A 2025 full-marathon travel report by Santanu. He knows timing-provider staff, accepted a race-morning lift and later used a contact to resolve a missing result. His late finish shaped food availability. The reported cause of food depletion is not independently verified, and later services may differ.

Anton Reiter · 2014

Marathon

Anton valued the coastal scenery, medal and finish bag but described a start delayed more than an hour, little spectator support and worsening heat. Traffic repeatedly entered the route, especially for slower runners, which made the later kilometres stressful despite organizers’ efforts.

A Marathon4you contributor’s 2014 full-marathon report combined with a holiday. Its serious traffic-control complaints and delayed start describe that edition and are not evidence of current arrangements.

Jesús Ernesto Díaz Díaz · 2016

Marathon

Jesús liked the festive packet-pickup atmosphere, varied refreshments and post-race services. The shared start was busy, and he noted few toilets at an early stop. He enjoyed the route but slowed markedly late in the race, making the finish especially satisfying.

A 2016 full-marathon account by a repeat participant. He describes limited preparation and personal fatigue, so his late slowdown is not a course-quality finding. His wife accompanied him by bicycle with supplies; this was personal assistance. Route, refreshments and finish services are historical and may have changed.

Penny Wilbanks · 2023

Marathon

Penny liked the simple course and found its opening scenery pretty, but felt it became repetitive. Heavy rain late in the race made the finish unpleasant for her.

Penny Wilbanks’s brief personal 2023 full-marathon log, including the complete tooltip remarks. Self-reported and not independently verified. Historical weather and course observations may differ in later editions.

A 2021 Haunted Forest participant liked clear communications, easy parking, a friendly field and the flat route. He found the Halloween theme fun despite missing promised decorations; own race distance was unstated.

Reported format: unknown. The race distance is unknown.

Crab · 2018

Marathon

A 2018 Tri-Cities marathon runner found the river course well supported but criticized inconsistent mile markers and strong late headwind. Bridge crossings also required effort. This is historical Richland feedback.

Reported format: marathon.

Andrey Petrov, quoted by Khabar · 2025

Marathon

Andrey was delighted to set a course record. In his short post-race interview, he described the course as level and well suited to racing, praised the event and thanked the organizers.

A brief media-selected 2025 interview with the elite marathon winner from Uzbekistan, translated from Russian. His record-setting perspective may differ from recreational runners’. The quote concerns that edition; no current route condition or comparative speed guarantee is inferred.

Andreas Bettingen / Judith Strack · 2022

Marathon

The authors loved the canal-side villages, music and final Venice sights. Early aid stations were busy and poorly labeled, and unexpected warmth made the long bridge tiring. They found the return journey uncomfortable but still ranked the marathon among their most beautiful experiences.

A shared 2022 full-marathon report by two Marathon 4 you contributors. Heat and return transport, including the article’s pandemic-era restrictions, are historical; current arrangements may differ.

therunningchiro · 2022

Ultra

The runner reported having a blast over 20 hours and valued their crew’s help. After losing their light late at night, they waited for another runner and followed them back to the lap’s start and finish.

A complete first-person account explicitly naming Andy’s Backyard Ultra 2022 and reporting more than 83 miles (133 km) over 20 hours. This is a historical participant experience, not a verified final result or a conventional race finish. The light problem was the writer’s personal incident, not evidence of a course safety defect. The organizer says the 2026 course changed slightly, so the older route and arrangements are not assumed current. The post tags The Feed; no paid relationship is established. Personal health details are omitted and no numerical rating is assigned.

The athlete found the old course very hilly and reported losing time at a poorly marked run turn. After the swim was cancelled, the race became a duathlon with an additional lake loop.

reschly · 2023

Ultra

The runner found sections sandy or technical and sometimes needed help spotting small flags. Aid was adequate but inconsistent for their preferences; wet cold weather and remote loops shaped their decision to stop.

Reported format: 100-mile entry; stopped after three loops, approximately 75 miles / 120.7 km.

Emily Holub · 2016

Marathon

Holub found the small race laid-back and inexpensive, but sparse spectators and lonely stretches made the course less appealing. Some neighborhood hills surprised her, and a strong late headwind added difficulty. Family encouragement and reaching her time goal made the finish rewarding.

A 2016 full-marathon account. Personal difficulties and a time goal strongly shaped Holub's appraisal, which she acknowledges. The current race is in October; the historical spring weather, route and operations are not assumed unchanged. No gifted entry is stated.
